I own and oversee two search firms that collectively serve over 2,000 employers with a team of 75. Cahill& is the instrument for employers who have critical searches that require my personal involvement.
A deliberately small number of searches are executed a year, for critical roles with compensation valued at $300,000 and above. I run point on every one, with a team of top performers pulled from across my companies to ensure we identify and vet the right talent, quickly.
Two types of search firms. Searches sold by a principal and delivered by whoever is free. Or sold by a principal who has never built, grown and sold a real business. Cahill& is different.
I have spent my career building companies. I spend my time surrounded by entrepreneurs and business leaders I've come to know through running Rhodes Wolfe and #twiceasnice Recruiting, which serve 2,000+ employers through a collective team of 75.
I can help you shape the role, profile and comp structure of your next successful, critical hire.
You can work with my team at Rhodes Wolfe for 20%. At #twiceasnice, it's 9.9%. They are very good, and have tens of millions in placements to prove it. I never work on those searches — there are too many.
Cahill& Co. has a different model. It has me, running each search alongside leaders from Rhodes Wolfe and #twiceasnice, hand selected by me, based on what you need.
33% of what we agree the comp should be at the start. It does not float upward as we negotiate the candidate's package, which means my advice on comp will be genuine.
Total compensation. Below that line and I'm the wrong instrument — I'll tell you so on the first call rather than the fourth. I have two great teams you could work with instead.
Research, sourcing, screening and coordination run as a unit. I am the point — the strategy, the calibration, and the candidate conversations that matter. I pull the right top performers from across my organizations on a search-by-search basis, based on their strengths and your needs.
For startups, part of the fee can be taken in stock. Structured into the agreement, not bolted on at the end. I don't offer it by default.
A solo recruiter can only run one search properly at a time, and you will feel it the week something else lands on their desk. A large firm has depth, and you will feel that too — in the associate who inherits you after the pitch.
Cahill & Co. is built to avoid both. You deal with me, start to finish. With me, at every step, is a support team of top performers from Rhodes Wolfe and #twiceasnice. Together we bring the combination of nuanced understanding and brute force needed to execute.
Strategy, calibration, and the candidate conversations that decide the outcome.
The market map. Every company worth approaching, and every person in the seat you're hiring for.
Direct approach at volume, to people who are not looking and will not answer a job post.
Scheduling, references, feedback loops. Your process does not stall waiting on mine.
What the role has to accomplish in its first year, what that is genuinely worth in this market, and who has already done it. You get the map before I make a call on your behalf.
Direct approach across the mapped market. Every name you see is one my team has worked and I have spoken to at length. A short list, with reasoning — not a stack of forwarded profiles.
Offer strategy, counteroffer defence, and a start date that holds. I stay in contact with the placement well past the point most firms have invoiced and moved on.
Where it makes sense, I will take a portion of the engagement in stock rather than cash. It lowers your outlay at the moment cash is worth the most to you, and it puts me on the same paper as you and the executive I just placed.
Raise it early. It gets structured into the agreement, not negotiated at the invoice.
The vision, the desired impact, and what you're worried about. We'll talk through what it could look like, and whether we should partner on it.
Direct line. If I'm on a search call, leave the role and a number and you'll hear back, quick.
